Raeesi 2017, Or Ahmadinejad Redux?

In polls conducted in the spring of 2005, Ahmadinejad came eighth. In early summer, he was third or fourth, and by mid-summer he had won 19.5 percent of the votes compared with Rafsanjani’s 21 percent, resulting in a runoff. According to a survey by iPOS, Raeesi’s poll numbers rose from 12 percent on May 6 to 21 percent on May 15.
