HHUGS first Muslim charity in the UK to accept cryptocurrency for donations

HHUGS is now the first UK-registered Muslim charity to accept cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Litecoin as forms of donation.
Speaking to 5Pillars, trustee Fahad Ansari said: “The public interest in Bitcoin spiked in the second half of last year, and we became aware of potential donors who believed in the alternative currency and were eager to donate to our cause.

Anonymous Crypto-currency Arms Race

Bitcoin allowed less friction in deep web commerce, but most importantly, it was run by computer code and not people. Government sanction (regulated) currencies and commerce provided a stiff barrier to the online black market, even people pro black markets provide a risk. Pre-Bitcoin digital currencies like Liberty Reserve, and E-Gold, did not mind people using their currencies to trade drugs and other illicit goods. German Law Enforcement to Trial Run a “Cyber-Armed Forces” Center

Minister Strobl explained that many small businesses are unable to afford IT or cybercrime specialists. Yet, many of the large companies handled cyberattacks on their own. He introduced the concept in the days before August as a cyber defense center that could respond “seven days a week and 24 hours a day quickly if they [small or medium sized businesses] were affected by a cyber attack.” He added that “IT security is the foundation of the digital world” detailed the reasons every organization should have access to “cyberexperts.” Continue reading

RUSSIA Government’s Cryptocurrency Mining Centers Under Discussion-Shuvalov

According to Bitfury Group, Russia currently accounts for only 2% of the world’s mining capacities while China leads with 60%. The U.S. and Canada collectively hold the second largest market share with 16%, followed by Georgia at 6%, and by Europe at 5%.
